Default misfire

You must tell us the engine size and codes and mileage if you can otherwise were guessing.Could be anything from a broken wire to bad head gasket. On a 2.5 2-4-6 are closest to the radiator and easily accessed without removing the intake plenum, usually there isn't multiple misfires on one side unless a common problem is there. I would pull the plugs and do a compression test first checking each plug condition then ohm out each coil pack, check the wiring to the injectors then a fuel pressure test. Nothing major until I do the easy stuff, throw in three new plugs and see if the problem lessens.

I had a similar problem with the rear bank, back pressure from a clogged cat caused the miss-fire. My mechanic had me pull the upper O2 sensor, left it plugged in electrically and drive it around the neighborhood, car ran great which confirmed that it was the cat.
