2 or 4 channel amp??
Jaguar 2004 X-Type 2.5 AWD
My sound system does not work, at the shop they told me that my amplifier is dead (original amp)
This car has 6 speakers and im looking for a bluetooth amplifier so i keep the original head unit as is.
i came across Crutchfield site and found a couple options but i dont know if i need a 2 channel or 4 channel Amp
Looking at the tech specs of my car i read that this has a 120 watts stereo output, that means its a 2 channel?

If you have only 6 speakers, then that would appear to be a standard system, with no standalone amplifier in the trunk. The premium system, with ten speakers does have an amplifier in the trunk. (MY 2004 and on)
So that would imply that the original head unit that you want to use is U/S and won't drive your new amplifier.
Is all that so, or do you have an amplifier in the trunk?
