Default 20" wheel on Jaguar

I want to know if a 20" wheel will fit in my Jaguar. What do I need to get it in? And if it can't work. Whats the highest inch that will be ok on my Jag. Its a 2001 Manual 2.5ltr Engine Sports version.

Have you seen exexpat's thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...wheels-113644/

If it was possible to get 20" to fit, I think he'd have done it.

There are a few people are here with 20inch wheels, and he is one of them, he has another thread from a while back that shows more of his wheels. I've run 19s on mine. It can be done.

I wouldn't do it... 19's is where it's at if you want a baller rim. The x-type doesn't have enough power to handle 20's in my opinion, plus you'd be running a really thin tire to make it work, the ride would be rough. I think with a 19 you still have a big rim there but it'd still be a little driveable. I'm thinking of getting 18's maybe some point, just because a lot of the rims I like only come in 18" and they'd be more of and all-around driving wheel than a 19", but 19's look cool, I think you'd just have more of a fitment issue. I know some people have had to roll their fenders to get bigger rims to work, which can damage the paint. 20's would probably work with the lowest profile tire you could get. If you don't have lowered suspension they may work.

None of that is really true. There are tons of 18s that weigh more than some 20s do, and its not like you'd see a huge lose of power. so saying there isn't enough power is invalid, and if he wants 20s for the look of them I dont think the like 5hp he might lose is a big deal. As for them fitting without rolling the fenders, the height really has nothing to do with having to roll them, its the offset, width and tire size. and I'm hear to tell ya, anything over 17s on this car, or any car of this size is going to be running low pro tires to fit. You can run a 215 or 225 35 20 just fine with the right offset, even lowered. You just posted that after someone that is running 20s and h&r springs on his X with no problems...

I have 225/30s on my 20s and it is lowered and I have no issues at all and in fact since I replaced my struts and shocks as well it is riding better than stock..IMO

Each wheel with the tire included weights 50lbs...

So if I do my math properly thats 200lbs for my whole getup

So you wanna run 19s with a 35 series rather than a 20 with 30 series...that 5mm aint gonna make much difference
