2002 2.5 auto cranks but won't start
Any help would be great. I have a 2002 2.5 auto with 80k on it that's only a month old to me. The car ran great until today. I drive it home from work, ran fine, and then parked it for about 4 hours. After the four hours I came back out, hopped back in it to run errands and it just won't start! It cranks right over but doesn't begin to catch. Any ideas? Like I said, it ran great and started right up earlier in the day, parked it and now it won't start but will crank fine. It have about a quarter tank of gas in it. Fingers crossed it an easy fix.

If everything was fine with it and now it won't start it could be as simple as the battery. It might have enough juice to turn it over, but not enough to get it to start. Our cars our pretty finicky for failing without warning. Maybe take your battery out and get it load tested. I know when mine went there was no warning whatsoever. No hard or intermittent starting. One day fine, the next morning nothing.

Turn the headlights on and crank the car over. If the lights dim way down, the battery is shot (you car see it in the interior roof light, too).
Sometimes the information on the "Climate Control Center" screen will look all funky when you're cranking it, too - when the battery is munched.
Whomever sold you the car just dumped an old battery on you. If it was a dealership, go yell at them and make them at least sell you a new one at cost or below.

So it was running "great", except for the random battery warning light coming on. That was a big thing to leave out of your original post. I guess that kind of answers whereto start looking. Hopefully it is just a battery swap.

The battery is reading just over 11 volts. Turned on the radio, headlights, and heater and tried to crank it. Nothing dimmed down much at all. I unscrewed the fuel rail valve stem and pushed it in and no fuel came out. Would a slightly weakened battery make it so the fuel pump wouldn't turn on or does it sound like a bad fuel pump?

Sorry about lack of replies.
This isn't my model so I can be wrong (often am) but 11V is no good.
Before assuming you've got a dead fuel pump you really do need a battery reading over 12V.
Your fuel pump is controlled by an electronic module and it is possible that it isn't turning the pump on because of the low voltage.
With a decent battery can you hear the pump running when you turn the ignition on?
It should run for a few seconds and stop.

Advance auto parts results
Voltage 12.15v
Measured 408 cca
Rated 640 cca
Temperature 52^F
They says it fine just needs a charge, prob from me cranking it. Ok. On to the next thing. I bought some more gas to put in it, the needle was touching the red and when I parked it, I parked it on a slight incline, maybe the fuel isnt getting to the pump. If that doesn't work I'm afraid it seems like a bad fuel pump
