So I just got this 2002 Jaguar X-Type is fully loaded nice everything just the person I got it from had put it in after-market stereo and he had a bunch of stuff that he did not you hook back up and some of the parts were damaged so I have another 2003 Jaguar that I've been taking parts off of to put on my 2002 I took out the emergency flashers the radio the comfort control module which is the heat and air condition unit and noticed that he didn't have four way flashers hooked up because it didn't work nor did the heated seats well during that time I had the comfort control and module out. I wanted to test my heated seats to see if they work because they weren't lighting up well when I turn the key I get boop open gearbox fault the car would not start or shift out of gear even with the key on and start an everything key didn't get stuck and this happened for about 2 days I thought maybe my battery was dead because of solenoid does need power to let the car know hey were in park and so on what's today I decided to go ahead and put everything back together and I was going to take it to the dealership so happily as soon as I went on ahead and plugged in the comfort control module the car started I disconnected the comfort control I got the same warning gearbox fault no start couldn't shift out of gear so if anyone has this problem be sure to look at your comfort control module if your comfort control module does not work try starting now replacing that and see what happens
