2002 Jaguar x-type -air vents/remotes

Hi, I have a 2002 Jaguar X-type and the air vents on the dashboard have cracked. I tried glueing them, but it did not work. Does anyone know where I can order them (both driver and passenger side). Contacted dealer, but the price was astronomical (especially for installing). I feel I can do this myself if I can find out where to order them. Also, ironically, both my remotes do not work; having to use key, which I'm not opposed to, but would like the remote to work (for safety reasons). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thought it strange that both don't work. Thank you.

Try one of the site sponsors for the vents, you can probably get a used set off of a scrapyard X for not much cash. Installation is straightforward, you can do it.

With the remotes, if you do a search of this forum you'll find all kinds of info on them. First off, have you tried a new battery in one of them?

common problem on the dash vents kirky especially on the older X types. I had similar issues with mine.
There was a redesign on them in the later model years I believe that cured this, so look out for that
