2002 x type 3.0
" Initially, the X-Type was only available with all wheel drive, and either a 2.5 litre or 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine. In 2002, an entry level 2.1 litre V6 front wheel drive model was added "

new Mexico, if you have one in the US, then you have an AWD vehicle. To the best of my knowledge, all X-Types sent to north america were AWD vehicles.
If you are still in doubt, you can simply look under the car. If you see a CV shaft attached to all 4 wheels, then that proves the car is AWD. If you climb under the car, you can find the end of the tranny and near the center of the car, you will see where the rear drive shaft and front 2 half shafts come off. If you don't have a rear drive shaft, then you have a 2wd car.
