Default 2002 X type 3.0 Gearbox fault

any adviceDealer confirmed that slip in 4th and 5th gear on kickdown. code P0734 and P0735. Gear 4 and 5 incorrect ration. Does flush out transmission fluid help? I am the original owner and still love the car
Thanks in advance

Can you add more information here? Mileage etc. I've never heard of that causing a gearbox fault, did you go into limp mode? What happens when you clear the code?

Changing the transmission fluid will definately not hurt.

OP, I'd definitely flush the trans before you even consider a new trans. It's like chicken soup ... it can't hurt.

If it still exhibits the same symptoms, then Plan B rules.

Thank you everyone. Car was never in limp mode. It has only 45K miles. When i accelerate quickly the engine RPM soar up but car hardly move. Work ok if slowly accelerate.
SEBZ; will let you you if i needed one. Problem is i am not really a mechanically inclined kind of guy. I am a machines/equipments guy in an electronics firm in San Jose but hardly work on car. I definitely will try to flush the fluid out this Saturday. Would someone introduce me to a mechanic in San Jose area for plan B?
Regards
