Could someone give me instructions and/or provide a diagram on how to replace the crankshaft position sensor on a 2002 2.5 liter x-type. Thanks in advance.
kh: The crankshaft position sensor is on the 'front' of the engine, to the left of the crankshaft pulley. To remove it, disconnect the single electrical connector and loosen the single bolt. When you install a new sensor, take care not to over-tighten the bolt. The spec is 7 ft lbs (10 Nm), i.e., hand tight.
