Default 2002 xtype 3.0 high eng temp light (not hot)

Second time this has happened in this car. Out of nowhere driving down the interstate, ALL the warning lights come on.....temp gauge is pegged on max. Car IS NOT running hot. Car is running just fine. Shut it off, restarted... temp gauge goes back to normal....all lights go off.....few miles later temp gauge pegs to the top, all lights come on.....Any ideas???

I would clean ALL the ground points and the battery terminals posts. Good starting point.

Craznguitarz, I had a car do this same sort of thing on me and it turned out to be a bad ground cable between the body of the car and the motor. Like was said, start with cleaning the grounds and if you want to get into doing voltage measurements to see exactly what is going on, let me know and I will see what I can come up with.
