I have a 2003 jag x type. When I put it in drive it takes off and when I put it in neutral it returns to normal idle.im having to drive it this way. engine light is on. I have lo v for switch code on 02 bank 1 sensor 2 and bank 2 sensor2.need your help.

 

what do you mean by "takes off" in drive?
sounds like an air leak?

do you know what code is making the check engine light come on?

 

when I start the car it idles high then slowly comes down to a nor mal idle .I put in drive and accelerate and the car takes off at a high rpm.i have code p1000 and I think p0057 02heated sensor low v bank 2 or something like that. Could my 02 sensor cause high then low idle and surges in acceleration
