Default 2003 Jaguar X Type 3.0 Engine/no cruize available

I have an issue. I was driving home from work and engine light came on blinking and the no cruise available. loosing power when hit the gas. limped it on home.
Engine check blinking and No Cruise available on. I changed the IMT O rings the Brake Booster and the PVC valve and hose). That is what I read to do with the issue. It still has the warning lights on and hit the gas sputters hesitates. Smokes some from the back of the engine from what I can tell. Does anyone have any ideas? I am planning on changing the manifold seals and the 02 sensors. What is the cause of this issue. Any help would be greatly apreciated

You need to pull the OBD codes. Write them down and post them here. That's the only way to know what the problem is. If you're doing manifold seals I recommend changing the spark plugs too while you're in there. How many miles on the car, and how well would you say it's been maintained? I'd fit a new fuel filter if it's been 30K miles or more since it was last changed. A basic OBD scan tool is inexpensive; you can get one for about $20. If you can drive car to an auto parts store they'll read them for you, but it's important that you write them down.

Yep, definitely check the codes BEFORE you start taking things apart and swapping parts out. Could be something simple and save yourself some money.

When you have a blinking light on the dash that means you have a severe enough misfire that it could cause some severe damage. I wouldn't recommend driving the car until you get it sorted. As others said post the codes here or look them up here on the forum.

Did this happen all of a sudden or has the car been running poorly for awhile now with a check engine light and it just finally got worse?

Wow I did not know that my post had actually posted. Sorry I was not ignoring. OK I had ordered my own code reader along with new spark plugs new ing coils, new top and bottom manifold seals. I have already changed the IMT O rings, Brake booster line, PVC Valve and hose. Just took the reading for the codes and this is what I got P0300, P0301, P0303, P0305, P1313, P1316, P0353 and the P1000. So How big of a headache do I have?
This actually happen all of a sudden. The check engine light did come on and read the misfires but would go off. It ran fine. But this problem Engine light blinking and No Cruise just came out of the blue. Got it home when it happen and haven't moved it.

oh and I am not sure of the prior owners keep up on it but it looked clean and drove great no accidents reported. Has about 104000miles. I knew I would have to do some things to it after a bit but this jumped out at me so want to fix what I can with you jags brains help if I can. Not a big mechanic but I have done alot with different vehicles and not afraid to get my hands dirty and this car is beautiful.

Coil 5 malfunction and emissions testing incomplete since last code clear.

Raw fuel going into the catalytic converter bank 1 - will damage the catalytic converter.

Sounds like you may have pinched a wire replacing the intake manifold to me.
If you don't have the shop manual it is available here - https://www.mediafire.com/?6aodm1scjciml

I haven't done anything with the manifold yet only changed the IMT O rings. Brake booster line, PVC Valve, and hose.

Sorry, I saw you had spark plugs and assumed you had installed them. I would be checking the condition of the back spark plugs. At 104,000 miles they are due for a change. Check for oil in the plug wells.

I'd swap a good coil instead of that bad one and see if OK, then start with fuel trims (use Search) / smoke test / etc.

Actually, it wasn't on the spark plug area when I pulled it out just around the top area sopped it up before I pulled it out. And only so far just the front left passengers side one so far.

ok middle rear coil was fried. Took a bit to get out. That must have been the smoke. Looks like it was touching the underside of the manifold.Still concerned about the oil in the holes. Does that mean I have to replace a seal?

Yes - #2 & #3 in the screen shot - #3 seals the spark plug wells. I'd do both sides while in there. By the way, how do the plugs look?

Yeah I figured that thanks.I ordered the seals for both sides. The plugs had the normal wear no fluids on the spark portions just on the outside due to the seal leak.Going to change all of them after I get the seals fixed.
