Hi guys/gals, I'm searching for a new daily driver and came across a 2003 X-type that caught my interest (97,000 miles). But in my search for info I've come across the Rocker Panel/sill/A-pillar rust problem. Is it inevitable that a 2003 is going to have the rust problem?

This car is at a dealer and I haven't seen it in person or even talked to them yet. They posted a lot of photos and I have a question about the one attached here...Does it indicate that the A-Pillar rust is present?

If the pic doesn't tell you anything and I do not see any rust bubbles in the A-Pillar/Rocker Panel area is there any other problems specific to the 03 X-Type that I should look for?

To be honest I'm not sure if that pic is looking front to back or back to front... mufflers have always been in the rear of my cars but I see what looks like a flexible section just rear of that muffler that should indicate the engine is at that end???
