Hi
I was driving my car and came to a stop at a red light... shifted to 1st to pull off when the light changed and as I pressed on the gas, nothing happened, I just started to roll.. shifted to 2nd to see if that was any different and it wasn’t. So, I safely pulled off the main road and called for Help..

 

Any suggestions as to what I need to do to get my car back on the road?

 

Sounds like you are having clutch problems. Needs to be looked at to know for sure what is going on.

 

As a general rule of thumb. if you can put the car in all 5 gears while the engine is running, without pressing the clutch pedal. Your clutch is somehow missing in action.
