Did a small search didn’t find much. I have a 2003 XK8. Trans is acting up and i might need to replace it. I figured I’d look into the possibility of installing a manual, which should have been and option. I don’t care about traction control or anti lock brakes. It’s not a daily driver. Inspection in that regard not an issue.
I’d also like to change the rear gears.

It's a serious project to switch the AJV8 & auto. gearbox to a manual set up. Big fat wallet needed, spare down time, and some serious mechanical and electrical skills needed. Note that the CAN-BUS computer network will need serious re-work for the modules to retain functions.

If you want to go down this route, USD12k seems to be quoted as a starting budget, and I would imagine that it'll be easier to do a complete engine and gearbox replacement, with new ECU. On this forum, Jaguar Specialities put in a LS engine with a manual gearbox. Check out this thread on the subject esp. post no.8
