Hey guys, I hope you can help me!

A few weeks ago, i got a check engine light & when the car hit 3000 rpm's, it would shutter and rev up and down while driving. It wouldnt shift into the next gear. I automatically suspected the tranny & called the warranty company.

I also got a message saying "cruise control unavailable"..

The car wasnt reallyt shooting any error codes. When all was done, they said they had to rebuild the tranny & replace the torque box(??? no idea what that is... something got replaced). Basically they did a big tranny job.

I got the car back tonight & the same thing happened! Anyone have any insight so I can go back and blast these guys? Could it be something with the cruise control?

 

No codes? No CEL? Sounds like limp mode (can't go past 3K rpm) and it could be caused by something as simple as a vacuum leak. Get the codes read.

Are you saying they already did a tranny and possibly transfer case? You would think they did a diagnosis before spending thousands of dollars.

 

Its wierd. they had a hard time finding out what it was. On the invoice it says rebuilt tranny & new torque converter. Its one of those lubrico garbage warranties. The total bill was $3200 I lubrico capped me at $2400. I had to shell out 800 bucks from my pocket & now they didnt even fix the damn problem! What do I do?
