For starters the car was in a minor accident but may have done more damage then anticipated. Most of the front passenger side suspension has been re done already including the breaks and rotors. but sill this extremely loud scraping sound when the wheel is turned to the right, and moving more then 25mph. It doesn't make a sound when i'm hard on the break or turning to the left. If you have any ideas please help. Thanks

Welcome to the forum hawaiian.............
Re your post......Firstly, its considered good manners to introduce yourself and your vehicle in the new members section before diving in.
Secondly, from your post, as you haven't said, I assume that you own an XJ. Is that correct?
Please fill us in a little.............If thats the case the post is in totally the wrong section and needs to be moved to either the XJ section or possibly General tech help.
Please respond
Thanks

2004 X-type 3.0 the problem isnt on my xj
Ok ifigured it out that the rotor is rubbing on the inside of the caliper and the pad isn't being pressed against the rotor, so i'm going to assume the person who did the work did it wrong, and i'mgoing to replace the caliper because i found a crack.
So my next question is wear is the cheapist place to order a caliper for a 2004 x-type 3.0?
and
What maybe the reason the pad isnt being compressed on one side of the caliper(out side pad)?
I hope that clears things up:]

Well sounds like your caliper unit may have been bent. Did you notice your pads or disk on the affected side chewed up? also check to see if your wheel is rubbing anywhere in your wheel well, if this is the case chances are you something slightly bent, might be better off getting a new front corner assembly. When this happened to me, I changed pieces one by one which was expensive. It was much easier to buy the whole new strut, spindle, caliper, breaks, tie rods ets.. If your wheel is rubbing make sure u get it fixed asap or your tire will wear un evenly.
also when the caliper and carrier touch the rotor.. especially on turns i have seen body shops leave the axle nut loose causing the carrier to move and touch the rotor.. scrap yard maybe.. from dealer very expensive..
i bet your caliper spliding pins are bent is why its only touching one side. All that pressure could very well have caused the crack as well.
