2004 X-type Clutch not disengaging
I am having a problem with my clutch on my 2004 Jaguar X-type. I can start the car in neutral, but can not shift to any other gears. I also can start the car in gear, but when shifting to other gears it seems I have to be at a certain RPM and it is very tough to shift.
When starting the car in first gear it seems that the car wants to start moving(well it actually does start moving) - even when having the clutch all the way to the floor.
I have been trying to do some research but only have found people with similar problems on different cars. Some have mentioned the slave cylinder may be bad? Does this require the whole engine to come out of the car?
Thanks for any help!

First thing I would do is check to see if you have fluid in there then, check for leaks and bleed it. The s.c. if I remember right is actually internal to the tranny. To replace you might as well do the clutch job. Maybe though someone smarter than me will chime in.
