Default 2005 X Type 2.2 Diesel wont start or turn over

hi all, i live in cornwall in the uk and new to this forum stuff. have no idea how to use this site. need help in figuring out what is wrong with my 2.2 diesel X type estate. its a 2005.
after pressing the dsc button my instrument cluster started acting weird (and dsc system fault came up in the cluster) and pressing the dsc button again did not help. All the dash lights came on, when I revved the engine the rev counter went to zero and got new messages in the cluster stating that the “cruise control was inoperative” and “fuel computer data error”. It was like this for a few days and then suddenly it won’t turnover. basically now it just wont start, turn key and nothing happens, red immobiliser light comes on solid when you turn the key (it is off until I turn key). if I keep the key in the start position it eventually flashes a code 24. for some reason the immobiliser doesnt seem to be switching off. tried my spare key but same result. can any body give me some advice.
cheers

got it sorted, it was a broken CAN wire between the ECU and the Instrument Cluster. Fixed the wire and it started straight up and all DTC's gone.
