Default 2005 X-Type 2.5 AWD Misfire after service

Hi I have just had my X-Type serviced by an independent garage which I am fast learning was a big mistake. Since getting the car back it has an intermittent misfire. When accelerating gently from low revs the car will sometimes misfire. It otherwise drives normally and has no issues with performance or economy.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? The garage are no help at all, refuse to accept that what they did during the service could have caused this and they say there is no faults according to the ecu.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards
John

John, had similar problem with my 05 x type. Bad smoke and misfire.
Nothing came up on computer for ages as a fault so was told to continue driving until fault developed.
The computer now says it is a pump problem but tests have shown that 3 of the 4 injectors are faulty and need replaced.
I hope you resolve your problem withjout the cost I am facing.

What service did the shop perform? Let us know that and we can then discuss the possible areas that they may have disturbed.....
