What's up?
Hey all, i'm new to the Jaguar world. Just purchased an '05 X-Type (pics to come soon..).
Before i go back to the dealer, i just wanted to check and make sure im not wasting my time by bothering the *********** with a silly dilemma. Just last night my brake lights seem to be illuminated whether im stepping on the brake or not.
Has anyone else experienced this??
Thanks in advance for the replies.

Yeah I don't know about the 2.5 litr but I know the 3.0 ltr has rear fog lights.
You possibly put the rear fog lights on and this is what you saw.
That is done as mentioned above by setting the dial to headlights and pulling it out gently to engage all fog lights.
Reverse procedure to trun off.

I will check the rear fog light switch. I do have fog lights on mine. Would that still be activated with all the lights off?? I will also check the pedal switch.
I had my friend drive my car around the parking lot and the brake lights are lit when there is no pressure applied to the brake pedal and with all the lights off.

look under the dash on top of the brake pedal.. the brake switch falls out keeping lights on..
