does it come with the grill surround? Or that is another part number?

 

IT comes with the grill surround.This is then removed, painted and then put back together

 

Thanks to MR2 i installed my 2009 grill also. Very easy to change out grills, just four 10mm bolts and out it comes. I will have pics this weekend to post. On a diffrent note. Are the 2009 Xtype comming to the states? I noticed at the local jag dealership here in Miami, FL. The website states nothing about 2009 S type and X type. Either way if they dont have them here i have something very few others have.

Not sure if the 2009MY is going Stateside but between you and me the very lastMY is going to have the growler etched into the (2 tone option?) seats.

 

No X-types stateside. And, the S-type was replaced by the XF.

 

I like the upgrade, Buck. Especially, Sponge-Bob on the LHR door glass!

 

Is there any way to get the 2009 grill with a chrome surround instead of primed/painted?

 

I know this is very late - but i have a 2005 xtype - and would love to have one installed in mine - does any one know a good place to buy one - or can i get a used 08 grill will it fit on my 05 - thanks

 

I think i would suit a sport x type better with no chrome

But it also looks good on yours
and not liking the wheels

 

Hey " fix it" how are you doing - i hope u can help me or any one else that might can help - I have a 2005 jag xtype - i would like to install the new xtype grill that comes on a 2008- 2009 - im trying to find a place that might have a used one or a place that sells them for cheap - i called the dealership - they want $500 + thats a little to much - also if i go to a salvage yard - & get a used part from a xtype will it fit - or do i have to modify it at all - thanks again
