alot to take in there..what is he doing to it?

 

Well he's taking the engine apart, piece by piece and soliciting information on how to make/tweak up the existing parts for some performance gains.

As you can see the exhaust is in need to serious tweaking. The way the cats are positioned and the pluming of it looks like a nightmare let alone the heat they produce right there by the side of the engine block. We discussed a performance gain of at least 40 hp if the cats and mufflers were redone with aftermarket stuff....headers and maybe a 3 inch pipe..... (he is in the process of developing the headers) Which will one of the first.....

Once he has it all apart, notes will be taken, parts will be developed and bench tested.....etc...etc...Then he will install it in his 2.5 l jag and see what it can do....

It's kinda like a test engine type thing.....
