Is there a 50K Mile specific service? What needs to be done at this mileage?

 

jjones, according to the JTIS CD, all it says to do is change the oil, top off all the fluids, check for leaks, inspect the brake pads for wear(replace as necessary), and inspect the belts and wipers.

With that being said, it also says at 5 years you should swap out the coolant. Since you are at 4+ years, might be a good time to do that. Probably a good time to also swap out the fluid in the differential and transfer case. Rear differential probably wouldn't need it, but the transfer case definitely. This would probably be a good time to rotate tires as it is on a nice even number to keep track of tire rotation with.

 

Perfect, thanks. Just got new brakes. New tires 3000 miles ago. So sounds like I"m good to go. I'll check into those fluid swaps.

 

Did you swap out the brake fluid when the brakes were done? At the 4 year mark it wouldn't hurt to do that as well, and it's a pretty easy job.
