6-Way seat
Morning All
I just noticed that the function that lifts the back end of the driver's seat (the end under your tail-bone, not your thighs) didn't work. The motor ran, but no change in the seat height. After pulling the seat out of the car, I got the motor/gearbox apart to find that the nylon gear on the worm gear shaft is missing a tooth. (actually, it's not really missing, it was stuck in all the extra grease in there, just not attached to the gear anymore) Does anyone know if the gear is available separately, is it the same for the other tilt motors, and am I better off to find the whole assy. from a 'parts horse'?

Robert, based on ease of getting a part, I would say your best bet is finding someone parting out a car and getting the whole mechanism that way. May be a few more dollars, but you can slap in the new gear box and then have your old one to replace any other gears that may fail on you.
As for where to find just the nylon gear, I wish you luck. Lots of options out there. At a minimum you would need to know the number of teeth it should have, outside diameter, shaft diameter (center hole of gear), along with the width of the gear. Getting measurements down to the 0.001" is probably going to be needed (atleast for the gear width. Then you also have to see if it requires a key hole for the gear. All of this plays into what you can and can not find.
