Smile ABS-Engine Management Light

I would be very obliged if somebody could give me some help with the following problem.

I have recently (4 weeks ago) acquired a 2001 2.5 X-Type, AWD, Manual, No DSC.
The car has only travelled approximately 600 miles between MOT’s in the last 6 years and has approximately 70,000 on the clock.
I collected the car in the recent snowy conditions. As soon as I drove off there were a couple of whines and groans which disappeared within a few days of use. The abs light then started coming on and staying on with a small fluctuation in the brake pedal and a bit of a grinding noise as soon as the brakes were first applied on every journey. More recently this started to be accompanied with the engine management light, but this would happen sometimes and not others. The current situation is that both the abs light and the engine management light come on as soon as the car is started and remain on at all times throughout a journey. This does not seem to affect the performance of the brakes (other than no abs) or the engine.
I have taken it into a garage, who charged me a very reasonable £25.00 to read the codes out. These are as follows: 1145, 1155, 1165, 1175 and 1642. Apparently the first four codes are all the abs sensors and the last code is unknown, but assumed to be a symptom caused by the abs failure.
I haven’t yet had the time to look at the sensors and reluctor rings. I have however checked the abs pump multi connector which seems to be clean and without corrosion. Does anyone think it is likely all four sensors would fail at the same time or is it more likely to be the abs pump and abs ECU that is causing the problem? I have had to book a couple of days off work towards the end of March to try and get this sorted (although I have until May with the MOT) and as most of the parts are available on Ebay, I want to get myself prepared.

Thanks for any help you can give, Paul. (UK)

Default

P1642 is your abs control module or a short circuit
The module is near the RH headlight

Default ABS PUMP Compatibility

Can anybody help me with regard to my abs pump?
I want to purchase a pump from ebay, but am unsure as to the compatibility. Some sellers state "will fit any x-type" and some are more specific.
My pump is a Bosch D43 2M110-AE.
Will any x-type Bosch pump be compatible with my 2001 (Y) 2.5 x-type?

Thanks to you all,

Paul.
