Default ABS issue

I am having a break issue. I had the mechanic check my pads/ rotors and they were fine. But in a road test he said it felt liek an ABS issue. It occasionally will feel like the breaks arent catching for like, a second and then work fine. happnes once in a while. any ideas. and yes, if u were to do a search of my posts, ud probably think my car is falling apart, but i love my Jag

Sean, just to ask a silly question, but do you notice this happening shortly after going through a puddle/water or more noticeable when it is raining outside? If so, what you are experiencing is the pads "hydroplaning" before they can wipe the water off of the rotors. After that, I would be looking at a possible air problem in the brake lines. Granted, could be a bad ABS unit, but then, I would think that you would see the problem all the time, not just here and there.
