ABS Issue C1175
I am getting a code C1175 both my engine light as well as the ABS are coming on. Any ideas as to the fix? Is this a sensor or more of the ABS ring on the axle?
Thanks!
Thanks!
A broken/missing ring or a bad sensor seem to be the top two causes for C1175. The check engine light is also caused by the ABS issue.
I would visually inspect the sensor ring first because this costs nothing if you do it yourself.
I recently replaced my left-rear ABS sensor with a 'Duralast' sensor from Autozone for than $60 - with lifetime warranty.
Testing a sensor is tricky because the ABS controller will turn off the drive signal to any sensor that does not produce proper output voltage. Don't be misled thinking you have a bad ABS controller as this is normal! I was chasing what I thought was an intermittent ABS control module when the real issue was the ABS sensor.
