I have a 2004 X type 2.5, I want to have my windows tinted,
but I can't get the rear headrests out. I want to remove them to have
easier excess to the rear window to tint it. I can't slide them up
far enough to remove them, are they not suppost to be removable?

 

Ronnie: The rear seats fold down. There are two release handles in the trunk next to each trunk hinge. Pull on the release handles while pushing forward on the rear seatbacks. Now you'll have more room to tint the rear window.

 

I checked in the trunk and it does not have the pull releases on my 2004,
the back seat back is one piece. How do you take the seat back out?

If you look at your front seat head rest. You will see a push in tab on one of the post. You need a flat head screw driver. Push it in all the way while pulling it out. same goes for the rear. You can see the fronts easier then the rear. But they are the same.
