Why spend all that money when you can just buy a new double DIN or single DIN HU? Save the old stuff when you trade the car in. Just a statement. Heck, I made $300 selling my OEM Porsche 996 stereo.......but that is to a person who thinks it will increase the value of his Porsche being stock. My X Type is kinda my winter car...I see no increase of value in it soon. Slap an aftermarket NAV in it or something.

But...just my 2 cents.

Aftermarket head units rarely fit the interior styling very well, I think that's the main reason a lot of the people here don't want them. For me at least the interior of this car is one of the top reasons I wanted one.
