Jim,
What specific Magnaflow did you install? Why that particular model? Did you purchase locally or via internet?
thanks
Russ

I had a magnaflow on my chevy truck, and a spintech on my GMC. Both of them tend to drone at highway speeds, which gets annoying. I wonder if it's any better with the X, it's definitely more insulated than my trucks. Anybody know what I'm talking about? I want something that rumbles a bit, but isn't obnoxious.

I'm thinking about getting the Minna Gallery "Porsche" style exhaust. Cant go wrong with $500.

Those figure 8's do have an interesting look. I was just wondering how well they would fit into the factory cutouts in the rear valence. I didn't see any pics of them installed on an X type on the website.

jim.logan, do the MagnaFlows drone at highway speeds? Is it loud in the cabin? I'm interested in a deep V-8 like tone at idle and acceleration while maintaining a comfortable noise level in cabin.

I have magnaflows on mine and the sound is deep somewhat like a V8. The noise in the cabin is bearable. Its noticeable, but not enough to annoy. I forget exactly which model i got, but if you look at my posts listing i think i have it listed in one

I installed magnaflow mufflers (11365) with quad tips on my 05 Sportwagon. I did the valence cutouts with a dremel tool. There is an in cabin drone below 2000rpm in 5th gear. Once it gets oiver 2k the drone quiets significantly. I did a sound bite that may be helpful. I am out of country for most of the winter so in the spring I may experiment with some sound deadening in an attempt to mitigate the drone.

Went to a BORLA on my 3.0 sport (2003) Love it. With a K&N intake, it feels like it has more power, but that could be just 'cause I pissed away a few bucks. The exhaust tips fir the cutout in the rear facia, and it looks good

Thanks for "sound" advice of the MagnaFlows guys. Anyone have experience or knowledge of the Dynomax Super Turbos?

you might want to start a new thread about tranny fluid instead of in this exhaust thread.
