Why this site is the best
My son had my car for several days and said that all of a sudden when he got in there was no sound coming out of the audio system. Looked at it briefly when I got home and like he said, everything appeared to be working as the display was normal and would go between radio, CD, CD changer, etc., but no sound. Did some searching on here for ideas, found a few and went to check. Sure enough, all it was was a cable had come loose and was hanging under the dash. Quick plug back in and all was good. It's thanks to the people on thsi site that take the time to help others by posting and sharing information. Saved me a lot of time looking at a number of things that would have taken time in an unheated garage in 10 degree weather. Comforting knowing almost anythng that can happen to an X can be found on here. Keep up the good work everyone! And thanks! And let that be a lesson as well. I have seen a number of posts on here where someone is asking a question or looking for help about something that if they would take a few minutes and surf around they might be able to get their answer.

Seems to me that the name ALFADUDE indicates another very fun car besides the Jag. If so, I also have an Alfa..86 spyder in red. Here in the cold and snowy area of Lake Tahoe, I use it only 4 months a year. We have 2 seasons here..winter (8 months) and road construction (4 months) Haven't I seen y ou on the Alfa BB also?

I just sent out some used wheel center caps I no longer hasd a use for to a couple other members. Hope that's enogh mojo to count.
Don't have an Alfa now, but used to have a '91 164S. LOVED that car, but traded it in with 165K miles. Would love to get another too. Where I take my car for service imported a few themselves after Alfa pulled out a number of years ago and I was tempted to buy a 166 they had, but I didn't like the color or the light interior. They also had a new style Spyder, but that isn't practical around here in the winter. The 164 was very good in the snow.

Hey Alfa, thanks for the kind words on the site on behalf off all the members / techs / mods etc that participate, much appreciated
All too often its problems ( which is part of the reason the site exixts I guess ) and a lot of negativity. Really nice to see a positive post and glad you got your baby all sorted.
