Aftermarket HID anf Auto Leveling
HI guys
I bought my used 02 2.5L from a Nissan Dealership. When I was looking at it one hid was not working and dealer said they will get it fixed. Later they found out that it was not the bulb but the Balance, the other balance was also going bad. So instead of changing the original balances they put an aftermarket HID kit and bypassed the original HID system.
Now the autoleveling system has stopped working on it. I asked couple of mechanics and they say that autolevelling does not work with the aftermarket kits. I have looked at the electrical schematics and seems like original hid system and autolevelling are on two seperate circuits. My question is that how does the autolevelling system get a signal from original Hid system to start working? and how can I simulate that signal from the aftermarket kit?
If I go back to the oem system I would have to put both new headlamp assemblies, which is aroung $3000 at least.
Thanks a lot
TJ

There are 2 inclination sensors (onefor front to back tilt, 1 for side to side tilt I think) somewhere along one of the sills.
When you switch on the ignition the lights adjust up and down once to get their level. If there is a problem they default to fully down
