aibag warning lights still on
Hi everyone
i unfortumately had a bump in my car and being financially short decided to repair it myself.
I changed the drivers and passannger airbag along with the module and seatbelt tensioners but couldnt get a drivers knee airbag.
i assume the airbag light is on because the drivers knee airbag has been replaced with a pannel all i was wondering was can i join some wires together to delete this airbag or os there a plug for the harness as some models nont even have them.
i can get another airbag for £125 but could do without the extra outlay.
thanks again any help greatly appreciated

Alex, unfortunately you can not simply just "bypass" an airbag. The computer is looking for a specific resistance to know that the air bag is still present and has not been activated. So, unless you can determine the resistance of a good airbag (DO NOT!!!!!! apply a multimeter to a good airbag as this has the chance of causing the airbag to deploy), there are not many options.
