Default Air conditioning check/recharge valve

So.....went to auto parts store as preventative measure to check freon level. The low side gauge on my Jag, the "quick release" type low side valve (located on right side (passenger) is right in front of firewall, below where you access the cabin air filter.

DOES NOT FIT, lmao. The "nipple" is just larger than a normal connection. So only Jaguar can check it for you? I know it was the low side, as the fitting is on the smaller freon hose and there is no fitting anywhere that we could find on the larger metal hose. Smfh!

The service ports are standard R134a fittings. You are just 'not-holding-your-mouth-right' I reckon.

It is a tight fit and you might need to bend the line slightly for access.

Number 17 in te diagram iss the low pressure port. If the fitting is too large for the charging hose then you are probably trying to attach it to the High pressure port.

Wink

Can't see it? Well after finding YouTube video of procedure, figured why couldn't find it......

Only redeeming comfort is 2 auto pars workers couldn't find it as well as 3 other shoppers, lol

After finding low side hidden valve, pressure checked, was a little low, this was suggested and DAMN!! it's cold on max air now.
