Default Air Conditioning question

Okay, so aside from an array of other things that I've slowly been working away at with this car, one thing that just came out of no where is this A/C problem I'm having suddenly.
The A/C turns on, but wouldn't blow cold air. So I did a little research (thank god for the internet lol) and checked to see if the unit was functional in the engine, which it is. So it seems likely I'm low on this refrigerant gas... I know my rad fans weren't working for a long time (likely several months, and I found out recently and had fixed them today). Could that have had something to do with the low refrigerant? maybe it wasn't getting the right amount of air flow? something like that... any chance that would be why it might be low?
I'm Open to your thoughts on this lol because I could be completely wrong about this "Fan not working having an effect on the AC" theory.

+1 what car5car says. However, if it is low on refrigerant, the compressor clutch wont engage or will cycle quickly. If the clutch is staying engaged, you may have a issue with the flappers in the dash not correctly setting themselves for A/C. But first things first, check the pressure out and go from there!

I have the same problem after the refrigerant has been filled. Any other suggestions?
