Default Air heater problem

Hi,

I have an 06 Xtype, 2L Diesel and I have a problem with the air heater not working. I have checked for a fix and the one that sounds best points to rotor slippage on an actuator motor The fix directs me to remove the glove box to access and remove the stepper motor. On my car there is a metal plate blocking access to the back of the air conditioning unit (on the right of the glovebox). I am assuming this is where the stepper motor is located.

Can anybody give me directions as to how I access the stepper motor

Here is the address of the fix -

I would really appreciate any help offered

Regards
