Default ALIGNMENT ISSUES ?

Hello, im new here, my wife has a 2005 sport model with only
15000 miles on it, the problem we have is that this car
seems to wander/roadwalk at low speeds, under say 40 mph.
It cant decide weither it wants to go left or right when you
let go of the steering wheel. On the hiway at 60-70 its ok.
I put new rubber on all four wheels, took it to get an
alignment, but to me its still not right.Better but not
right. Anybody have any idea whats going on with this car?
Am I looking in the wrong place for the problem? Could it be
a bad rack/pinion or possibly a problem with the abs system?
I did notice that the right rear brake squeeks in reverse,
could it be grabbing or something ? We love the car but it
must drive right or im never gonna be happy with it. The
alignment people tell me there is no castor/camber
adjustment on these cars, is that true? Im running out of
places to look. Our nearest jag dealer is 250 miles away...
Any help out there or ideas as to what could be going on?
Thanks
Dan

It's the POS tires that come with the car...I put on Kumho/Ecasta/ASX ..great tire for the price.

EDIT:..I re-read your post and seen you put on new tires..Even new ones if they are quirky will give you same problems..the suspension on these cars are real sensitive too..BTW..inflate your tires to at least 35 to 37 PSI each and see if that helps. I run 37.5 year around, the ride is firmer, but it tracks the road better, without the ruts pulling you.

Chances are you have the 18"s and unlike the cars with the 16's your width is more than likely 225...this means you have quite a wide pattern of rubber contacting the pavement which will track in the ruts made by all the trucks and traffic on the pavement. If you notice the ruts on most slower roads are worse than those of the freeway. Have you noticed whether it occurs all the time or you just notice it when it goes where it wants to go. Chances are if you are rolling at 70-80 on some new freeway pavement and let go of your steering wheel and you go straight its probably just the road telling the car where to go, just like what happens when you ski...

Yea they are 18 inch wheels, it does it all the time, road condition good or bad. I just bought a 2007 STR which has an even wider contact, driven in the same areas, and it is fine.....
the x type is pretty good at hiway speeds, just the lower speed is where it walks.....i figure if the wife noticed it, it had to be bad....lol

The s-type is also a wider car and touches different parts of the pavement...but hey if that ain't it sounds like a trip to the dealer is your best bet!

Those kumhos usually aren't great on jags... the conti's are alright michelins usually run the best. Did you get a print out from your alignment?
I beg to differ..The Continentals are CRAPand that's what came on my Jag..Worse tire I've ever had..2 out of the five tires that came with my car would not road force balance within tolerences..went through5 more out of the batch before finding twothat would finally meet specs and they werejust close..Michelins are okay and you need their top of the line to get a good one..Ran several sets on a Benz I had..the tires all wear too fast and are pricey as hell.

Unless you've owned a set of Kumho ECSTA-ASX, (don't compare these to other Kumho models)otherwise you really are missing out on a superior tire for ride, quietness, handling in all weatherand wear..They work brilliantly on the JAG X....the reviews speak for themselves..

i dont know about everyone else here but we have been setting toe to positive 2 to 4 per side
i know the specs say negative toe per side but from what i have experienced is premature tire wear as well as drifting side to side with to much negative toe
JFT
are you out there and what are your thaughts?

I set it positive close to zero, 2 is good number per side.
