Hello guys,

Please help me with an advice in this problem ( Jaguar 2002 X-type 2.5i V6 AWD ):

I change in service a lot of parts from joint ( front / rear ) and the wheels ( 3 pc )from serpentine belt including the belt and after this,when car was ready to drive i made a road test to see if everything is Ok....and the result was...bad ...

- I felt in seat a vibration ( like engine is not running ok,he moves sideways..) when i accelerating over 2000 RPM,and is increasing proportional to the RPM
- after 20 km i heard a sound like something hits in engine...the transmision belt broke but not totally ( it was new ).

I don't know what to do,what to say anymore...before all this everything was ok...no engine vibration,no strange sound...nothing...

Have someone who knows about cars have a look at it. If you want help here you need to say very clearly what was done, what was changed and what the vibration is like (does it vibrate when the car is not driving, does it increase with speed, etc.). What do you mean "transmission belt", there is no such thing.

 

If I understand correctly, you replaced some front suspension components? Get an alignment done on all 4 wheels and go from there. I bet you will find that the vibration while accelerating goes away
