Sorry is this was posted before ...

Went to the dealer to get an ambient temp sensor XR858222 (mine would read 50 degrees all the time or reads nothing) and it cost 50 dollars.....then I removed the original and saw it was a Ford part with number F3VF-12A647-AA. I took that number to the local parts store crossed it over to BWD part WT381, which cost 16.00 and works perfectly on my car. If you look for either F3VF-12A647-AA or WT381 on ebay, you can get it for less than 10 dollars

And the local NAPA auto parts store has one for $8.99 plus tax.

Is the temp display sensor the same one for the ambient coolant sensor...one part for both functions?
