Default Battery clamp warm

Hi all.

After reading some posts about poor battery clamps, I decided to check mine.

Made sure clamps were tight, turned on ignition without starting and turned on some high consumers. (All lights and the heater fan.)

After approx. 30 seconds the positive clamp was up to 50C (122F). Other connections were at ambient temperature 20C (68F).

Changed both positive and negative thin walled clamps with some more solid ones.

Also cleaned and tightened fuses in the mega fuse module.

So now the electrical power is going to the car instead of heating the trunk.

Certainly a much better clamp than the one on the left. A light smearing of petroleum jelly will also help to keep the corrosion at bay.

Either way, good job.
