I know that the Radio Antenna is in the rear windows inter twined with the rear defroster. I have always had bad reception with this. Also I hear that anyone who put Window tint over this will only make the reception worse (as I was looking to do). Has anyone had any experience with a replacement antenna, particularly a Roof mounted antenna kinda like the BMW shark Fin style. I have replaced the factory stereo and know that the reception should be a lot better than it is. If anyone has any tips or pictures that they would like to share I am open for some suggestions.

 

The 2008+ X-Types had a shark fin antenna I think, no idea whether it was just styling or an actual antenna though.
