Default Any difference between 2002 and 2007?

Hello all,
I am looking for parts or just buying another parts car from the auction to fix the 07 i bought yesterday. Does 2002 and 2003 differ any from 2007? I am in need of front bumper, headlight, hood, fender and rear bumper.
I can pick up a whole car for 2-3k and it will benifit all as I will sell of parts that I dont need cheap cheap.

As far as front, bumper, hood, lights, i don't believe they changed anything. Drive-train wise I believe there are some differences.

There are no difference in body panels, lights, etc... So any yr should work out..

That car took a nice hit.. Will it have a clean title when you fix it?

Its all cosmetic its going to be like brand new when we are done with it. Nothing needs to be pulled just taken apart, replaced and painted. Once its all done it will have a clean title with salvage history. I have been in that biz for a long time so it does not scare me one bit. I rather find a good clean car with a salvage title at a steep discount and drive the wheels off for 2 years or so and then sell it for the money I put in it.
I am glad nothing changed between 2002 and 2008 this will make my life easier finding the right car for parts.

As DZTT said, the body panels, lights, etc. should be the same, but there are some differences in engine parts etc. between 2002 and 2007. I remember reading that Jaguar had changed close to 1000 parts on the car by the 2004 model year.

Is it really worth buying a whole car to get the front end body parts you need?

I should be able to get a 2002 or 2003 for under 2k.

i never noticed any physical changes in the model lineup, i believe they are all the same.

The interior had some minor changes though

Exterior wise, all the parts are interchangeable between 2002 and 2007. There was things like a new grille for the 2007 model year as I recall. But, that was about the biggest change they made to the outside.

As for the drivetrain, everything is pretty much the same other than the computer is slightly different for the later years when they tweaked the computer a little to squeeze a few more HP out of the engine. The other difference is the 2002-03 cars have a viscous coupled transfer case where the 2004-07 cars have a different transfer case (direct gear?). This isn't a big deal as the two transfer cases are interchangeable as the outside dimensions are the same and the bolt holes are the same.

MOst of the changes were to the interior adding little tweaks here and there. Even most of that was focused around the radio in the dash. They added things like being able to wire in your IPod and stuff like that. But, most of those things are also interchangeable.

So, get the two cars and make one good one. If I had the few extra bucks, I would be tempted on doing that myself. But, with trying to buy a house, I would rather get a few other things take care of first.

Thanks Guys,
that is good to know as I should not need any mechanica or interior stuff just the front. I am going to pick up the car tomorrow morning in CT and get working on it next week after the toyota and vw are back at auction.
I will have a ton of stuff for sale cheap as well to all members once i get the parts vehicle.

Can you take a picture of the steering wheel? I'd be interested in buying it if you're not needing it for something. I'd like to see a picture of it if you have time.

Also, I'm looking for the rearview mirror that has the auto-headlight and auto-wiper sensors. I had my windshield replaced and they put on some crappy rearview mirror and claimed they couldn't find the original one. I was not happy about that!

Let me know!

Thanks!
