any shot these rims will fit on my x-type?
I now ive read people say dont go beyond 235's but do you think it would be a total no go on these? Or would it possibly rub on turns etc?
thanks

I dont think you will be able to use these if you want no rubbing. On the front you may not have too big of an issue, but the rears will rub against the fender. I had 255/35/18 which rubbed quite a bit over any bumps or if i had any passengers. Now i have 225/40/18's and they still rub with passengers and over big bumps or pot holes. maybe request to try them out before you buy if your not having them shipped.
Matl, as for the rims bolting on to the car, you are good there. But, like was mentioned, going wider than 235's is going to result in rubbing. Even if the offset is too much on those rims (doesn't state what it is, so, I would also question that), you can get into a rubbing issue. So, if you are buying that for just the rims, you should be good. But, it will also require you to spend more for new tires. At that point, you can get aftermarket rims that are exactly what you want for the same price.
