Any tips on accessing the Aspirator fan in the dash?
I need to change this noisy little thing (it is really noisy, bearings are shot in the fan most likely..it's not just dust). Any info I find is just mentioning removing the knee trim below the steering wheel and then just...access it. That seems a tad impossible unless I am really overlooking something. I have removed the knee panel and I can see the electrical plug, but cannot reach the actual aspirator itself. Has anyone done this?
I have not done this but the entire instructions from the workshop manual are to remove cover, remove the electrical plug and 3 retaining screws. If you can see the connector but not the 3 screws maybe there is a plastic cover that has to be removed? Just guessing.
Hey, thanks for the reply! This is actually referring to the HVAC blower motor and does not what I am referring to though I see this confused often. I believe this little part is also called the cabin, air temperature and humidity sensor. If you're sitting at the steering wheel in an LHD version it's right to the right on the dash behind a little 1 in by 1-in grate. I will have to get a picture later and send it.

Oh, I am sure it is easy to actually remove. My issue is with getting at it to perform that move. I think the only way really may be to take off a lot more of the dash than just the lower knee plate.
