Default Audio Connectivity Module

Has anyone tried the Jaguar Audio Connectivity Module. Would seem to be the answer to several of my issues ie DVD player sound, MP3 input to radio and also would give me mobile hands free.
Any pictures?

Shame as quite a bit of money to spend without really seeing it or knowing how it works.

it is just a small black box that is attached to the front inside panel of the center console. it has 2 cords, a usb plug and a ipod connector, and a set of rca inputs on top. nothing much to look at, and i havent even seen mine in about 3 months. i filled up a 6gig usb key with mp3s and i leave it alone. as we speak i am having my 30k service performed, but when i get it back later i will snap a quick pic of it.

Hey nineball, how much did the dealer charge for the ipod connector? i have an 03 and am looking to add that too. Im hesitating doing anything at my dealer because they are a bunch of snobby liars...but thats besides the point. Is it easy to run the ipod through the radio? is it slow interface or does it scroll quickly?

i bought mine when they first came out, and they were on sale for $149 plus 1 hour labor to install. my final price, after taxes and shop fees, was about $270 installed. since then i have heard they went up to $200 or $250 just for the module, plus labor. some people have reported as much as 2.5 hours labor charged for installs. pretty hefty when you consider my dealer charges $99 per hour, +10% for shop fees. i would call your local dealer and ask them what the price is, and how many hours of labor as well.

as far as connections, some ipod owners are happy, some are not. i personally just use a usb key. it is much easier (can change directories from the steering wheel like changing cds) to navigate with i feel with no playlists to be made, and i can take my music with me anywhere there is a computer with a usb port.

sounds interesting then. I would guess if it only 1 hours labour it cannto be that difficult to home install. Looking forward to seeng the pics. How do you access it? Does it replace the cd changer input or something?

you lift up the center armrest (both) and it is inside there. if you have a cd changer, there is a bypass switch on the side as it is sorta installed inline with the changer. if you don't have one, the car thinks it is the changer. while it is playing, the display reads CD6 the entire time, even after you swap directories.
