If I'm not mistaken, US markets don't have double locking, so I made the kit to be triggered by the lock/unlock status, but with some variables. This way, the mirrors don't fold when the car auto locks at 4 mph (wouldn't be handy), and don't fold when you unlock the car (after auto lock), because that would mean they'd unfold upon locking.

The kit comes in 4 variations:

Double locking with mem seats
Double locking without mem seats
Single locking with mem seats
Single locking without mem seats

PM me for pricing.

Here's a video on my personal X-type, the kit used here is double locking with mem seats.

This kit DOES NOT make regular mirrors fold, it only makes powerfold mirrors auto fold.
I have powerfold will this kit work on my Jaguar 2001 S-Type Canadian Edition

How to I PM you, I would love a double locking/with memory seats. Double locking means I can press my lock button once to lock and then again to double lock so you cannot open doors from inside?

Tony,

To send a PM, click on the username at the top left in a post. From the drop down menu select 'Send a Private Message' and the message box will open.

For anyone with double locking and memory seats, here's how I devised a module to autofold the mirrors;

Autofold Memory Illustrated Honestly!)

If you're competent with a soldering iron, it's not that difficult.

For those with double locking and non memory seats, here's another link to what you need to do- even easier!

HOW TO AUTO FOLD WING MIRRORS ON DOUBLE LOCK (WITH PHOTOS)

A very satisfying DIY project!!

Just a thought, for those with single locking, it might be worth checking to see if you get a 12v pulse from Pin 4 in the 23 way grey connector to the GEM when you press the lock button a second time immediately after single locking. If so that would provide the Yellow/Black connection to initiate fold/unfold. Just depends on how your GEM was set up on build.

Hi Wannesd,

I have an s type and although it has double-locking would want a single press to lock 'n fold and single to unlock and unfold. I assume it douesn't send back pulses down wiring loom into the 20 way connectors? and you have trim removal instructions for an s type. I would like a price and description please. I am a new member and can't ping

Hi,
I want to add power fold mirrors to my 51 x type now I have read the various posts and gotten myself confused! Lol So I have standard electric heated mirrors and non memory seats, I've purchased another window switch pack that includes the power fold button, can I fit the power fold mirrors or not? I would be interested in buying your kit to automatically fold the mirrors on dead locking the doors, my doors lock when I reach speed of 4mph and I do have global closing windows so I would be very grateful if you can advise me on the do's & don'ts plus cost of your kit? I did read it was 40euros but has this changed? Please pm me as soon as you have time. Thanks in advance...
