Battery replacement for key fob
Ok I went to my local target, locked my doors and went inside. NOW I come outside to leave and my doors will not open.. The key fob is dead and I had to call a neighbor to come and get me so I could get my spare set of keys.
NOW I checked the faqs section and I can not see the pics on how to remove the screw and board to get to the battery. Can someone post them up so I can see how to get this done.
It was such a PITA and thank god for great neighbors...

Well I replaced the battery and reprogrammed it as per the FAQ but the buttons still do not work. I am not going to the dealer to have it reprogrammed and get raped doing so.
Does anyone have pictures of the fob being taken apart? So I could see that the connection for the battery is in correctly. The ones in the FAQ section are not showing.

The owner's manual PDF which I downloaded from this forum has images showing the cover removal and the board removal. It is all pretty straightforward with no traps. I only have one fob and key that came with my car and was super nervous if I screwed something up it would cost me big time. But the battery replacement and programming went just like described in here and I am all good now several months down the road. You will be fine.
