Default Blew a hole in the radiator tank ...

Long story short, was cruising down the interstate at a high speed, temp shot up and steam came out. Pulled over, let it cool off & repeated and got to a gas station. Found about a 1/2" hole on the plastic end cap, repaired it by melting some plastic tape into the hole, then sealing it up with a heavy epoxy (made it home two hours away without it losing another drop of coolant lol).

Anyways, I need to get a new radiator and cannot find anything that has metal end caps. Does anyone know of where to get one? Don't mind to pay the extra $, I would just like a good one. Will probably end up having to put a plastic one back in because I didn't see anything else available, but thought if it did exist, someone here would know.

Default Here ya go...

It's 3 times the cost of the aluminum/plastic one but it won't fall apart as easily.

Just go to Summit's website. Part number is PLI-431513. Cost is $368.95. They also have the aluminum/plastic and those are $110.95 part number SGT-CU2256.

Hope that helps.

That $300 one will fit in the x-type without needing to be modified? Price is fine if it will, but it says it's for an xj6/xjs

You're right. I don't think it'll fit without modification. Sorry about that.
