Default Block Heater?
Hi Everyone,

Could you please advise whether a '02 Jag X-Type comes with a block heater?

No problem. Where are you located? I think some Canadian cars and certain European market cars did have block heaters.

I think some NA models can or did come with a cold weather package (option) I seem to recall...MaybeBo your's was a south of the border model that happened to make it's way up your way before you got it.

NOPE, my car is true canadian.. metric speedo, dealer paperwork, and the rust to prove it lived up here in the snow.

I have every factory option available except for the telephone/voice and auto tranny. If block heater was available it would likely be a dealer installed option.

anyway.. up to minus 30 celcius the car should start.. at minus 40 it gets a little touch and go... and global warming is helping .. have not seen below minus 30 in a few years now

As far as I know there is only the oil pan heater available.

not fair to have an opinion like that when you live in the tropics... that is the last place to be affected.. unless the ocean rises fast.
